EVT for aortoiliac artery disease and femoropopliteal artery disease: a meta-analysis
A meta-analysis of randomized trials comparing treatment strategies for EVT showed the superiority of DCB compared to balloon for femoral popliteal artery disease in patients with intermittent claudication, and no difference in mid-term patency rates between DES and BMS. Data are however, lacking for aortoiliac artery disease. Dr. David Koeckerling of Bern University Hospital , Switzerland and colleagues reported in the March 14 issue of the European Heart Journal.
