Live Reformation: How Live Courses Can Survive in the 4.0 Era, Vol. 2
The Beginning of Live Courses Led by Celebrity Cardiologists (Live 1.0 Era, 1983-1995)
From the 1980s to the early 1990s, live courses began to emerge one after another, both in Japan and abroad. In Japan, the Kamakura Live Course started in 1991, followed by the Kurashiki PCI Live, the Osaka Live, and the Toyohashi Live Courses in 1992, and then the Naka-Nihon Live in 19931-3). Each of these courses showed off the characteristics of the cardiologists who conducted them, bringing crowds of other cardiologists from all over Japan together to participate and study under them, further encouraging them to adopt the styles to which they were best suited.
