Safety and Feasibility of Distal Radial Approach in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention for ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction: A Comparative Study with Conventional Approach
In a single-center study from Japan, PCI via the distal radial artery (DRA) in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) showed no significant differences in sheath insertion time or 30-day MACE compared to the conventional radial artery (RA) approach, accordion to study presented by Dr. Yoshihiro Nishio, Shin-yurigaoka General Hospital, Japan, in the poster session at the 89th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Circulation Society.
