The PROGRESS-BIFURCATION registry demonstrated that among patients undergoing provisional stenting for coronary bifurcation lesions, a narrower bifurcation angle was associated with an increased risk of side branch occlusion, Dr. Deniz Mutlu and colleagues, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, United States, reported in the October 15 issue of The American Journal of Cardiology.
