Intravascular Lithotripsy Plus Rotational Atherectomy vs Rotational Atherectomy Alone for Severe Calcified Coronary Lesions
Treatment with intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) plus rotational atherectomy (RA) for severe calcified lesions showed no significant difference in procedural complications or the risk of 30-day major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE: death, myocardial infarction, stroke, or target vessel revascularization) compared with RA alone, Dr. Pier Pasquale Leone and colleagues, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, United States, reported in the November 15 issue of The American Journal of Cardiology.
