Endovascular treatment in acute ischemic stroke patients with extensive infarction: the ANGEL-ASPECT trial
The ANGEL-ASPECT trial showed that in patients with extensive stroke, endovascular treatment within 24 hours was associated with better outcomes than medical therapy alone, but intracranial bleeding was more common. Dr. Xiaochuan Huo, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, China, and colleagues reported in the online edition of The New England Journal of Medicine.
