Anticoagulation with Edoxaban in Patients with Atrial High-Rate Episodes: The NOAH-AFNET 6 Trial
According to the NOAH-AFNET 6 trial, anticoagulation with edoxaban did not prevent cardiovascular death/stroke/ and systemic embolism in patients with atrial high-rate episodes (AHRE) detected by an implantable cardiac device. Dr. Paulus Kirchhof of University Heart and Vascular Center Hamburg, Germany, and colleagues reported in the September 28 issue of The New England Journal of Medicine.
