Ultrasound-Based Renal Denervation: Integrated Analysis of the RADIANCE II, RADIANCE-HTN SOLO, and RADIANCE-HTN TRIO Studies
An integrated patient-level analysis of the RADIANCE II, RADIANCE-HTN SOLO, and RADIANCE-HTN TRIO trials showed that the blood pressure lowering effect of ultrasound renal denervation (uRDN) was better in poorly controlled hypertensive patients than in sham-controlled patients, and was consistent regardless of hypertension severity, as reported by Dr. Ajay J. Kirtane and colleagues of Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, in the online edition of JAMA Cardiology.
