Early versus elective coronary angiography in patients with MI after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest without ST-segment elevation: a network meta-analysis
A network meta-analysis showed that early coronary angiography (CAG) was associated with significantly better survival in patients with MI after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest without ST-segment elevation (NSTE-OHCA) compared with elective CAG (distant phase CAG or no CAG), but analysis of randomized trials alone showed no effect and no difference was found. Dr. Sebastian Heyne of the University of Cologne, Germany, and colleagues reported in the March 21 issue of the European Heart Journal.
