Andexanet alfa for severe bleeding after factor Xa inhibitors: the ANNEXA-4 study
In patients with severe bleeding caused by factor Xa (FXa) inhibitors, treatment with andexanet alfa reduced anti-FXa activity and produced good or excellent hemostasis in 80% of patients, according to the ANNEXA-4 trial. Dr. Truman J. Milling Jr. of Dell Medical School, USA, and colleagues reported in the March 28 issue of Circulation.
