TAVR vs. drug therapy in patients with non-severe aortic stenosis and reduced LVEF
In patients with non-severe low pressure gradient aortic stenosis (LGAS) and LVEF <50%, treatment with TAVR was associated with significantly higher 2-year and cardiovascular survival rates compared with medical therapy, and TAVR was an independent predictor of survival. Dr. Sebastian Ludwig, University Heart and Vascular Center Hamburg, Germany, reported in the May issue of Circulation: Cardiovascular Interventions.
