The current state of ACS healthcare system in the Philippines is not optimal. Most hospitals capable of handling PCI procedures in the Philippines are non-governmentally owned and are located in the central peninsular. Dr. Bryan Rene F Toledano of The Medical City Cardiovascular Institute, Ortigas Pasig, Metro Manila, the Philippines, and colleagues reported in the July edition of the Journal of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology.
