Antegrade vs. Retrograde Orbital Atherectomy System Debulking by an Artificial Heartbeat Model
A study using a beating heart model (HEARTROID System) showed that debulking only by antegrade approach using the Orbital Atherectomy System (OAS) resulted in a larger debulking area than debulking only by retrograde approach, according to a study reported by Dr. Akito Kawamura and colleagues, Division of Cardiology, Osaka Rosai Hospital, in the January issue of Catheterization Cardiovascular Interventions.
