Calcified nodules (CN) in patients with ACS were associated with the angiographic no-reflow phenomenon through lipid-rich components, and patients with CN and a maxLCBI4mm≥400 had worse clinical outcomes compared with those with other plaque morphologies, Dr. Yuichi Ozaki and colleagues, Wakayama Medical University, Japan, reported in the October 15 issue of The American Journal of Cardiology.
