Association between post-rainy season heat and emergency transport for cardiovascular disease among the elderly in Japan.
Heat exposure during the first month after the end of the rainy season was associated with an increased risk of emergency cardiac transport, according to a report by Dr. Ryohei Fujimoto et al. of Okayama University and colleagues, in the March 21 issue of the Journal of the American Heart Association.
