The PROGRESS-CTO registry showed no difference in technical and procedural success rates for retrograde CTO-PCI using ipsilateral epicardial collateral vessels (IEC) compared with other retrograde cases, but a higher incidence of periprocedural complications, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ogaili and colleagues of Abbott Northwestern Hospital reported in the May issue of Catheterization & Cardiovascular Interventions.
