Association of Proximal Vessel Tortuosity with Technical Success and Clinical Outcomes: Analysis From the Progress-CTO Registry
The PROGRESS-CTO registry demonstrated that moderate or severe proximal coronary artery tortuosity reduces the technical success rate of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for chronic total occlusions (CTO-PCI) but does not impact major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE), Dr. Dimitrios Strepkos and colleagues, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, USA, reported in the January 1 issue of Catheterization & Cardiovascular Interventions.
