Cutting Balloon versus Standard Balloon for Lesion Preparation of Drug-Coated Balloon Treatment in De-novo Coronary Artery Lesions: The NATURE Trial
The NATURE trial, a multicenter study conducted in Japan, suggested that cutting balloons may be superior to standard balloons in achieving adequate lesion preparation and reducing bailout stenting during drug-coated balloon (DCB) treatment for de novo coronary lesions, according to a study presented by Dr. Ken Kozuma, Teikyo University, Japan, in the Scientific Abstracts session at TCT 2025.
