Routine Coronary CT Angiography vs Standard Care for Follow-Up After LM-PCI: The PULSE Trial
The PULSE trial demonstrated that among patients undergoing PCI for unprotected LM coronary artery disease, routine coronary CT angiography (CCTA) at 6 months did not reduce 18-month MACE compared with standard care, although it was associated with a lower incidence of spontaneous MI and a higher rate of imaging-triggered TLR, Dr. Fabrizio D’Ascenzo, Citta della Salute e della Scienza Hospital, Italy, reported in the November 11 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
