In CTO-PCI, the Hydrodynamic contrast recanalization (HDR) technique facilitated intraplaque wire passage without causing major vessel injury and was associated with characteristic IVUS findings of speckled plaque, Dr. Salman A. Arain and colleagues, University of Texas, United States, reported in the November 1 issue of Catheterization & Cardiovascular Interventions.
