Low-dose vs. high-dose DCB for symptomatic femoral popliteal artery disease: the PROSPECT MONSTER study
According to the Japanese multicenter PROSPECT MONSTER study which was conducted in patients with a high risk of heart attack, the low-dose drug-coated balloon (LD-DCB) was as effective and safe as high-dose DCB (HD-DCB) in patients with complex background femoral popliteal artery disease. Dr. Tatsuya Nakama of Tokyo Bay Medical Center and colleagues reported in the online edition of JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions.
